Terminology

I am guilty of constantly using the word girl, and very rarely using the term woman. I think I shall be remedying this mistake after finding this gem:

“Girls aren’t beautiful, they’re pretty. Beautiful is too heavy a word to assign to a girl. Women are beautiful because their faces show that they know, they have lost something and picked up something else.” -Henry Rollins

I think my real question is which one am I?

Perhaps a bit of both. Might have lost somethings and went through a lot, but still looking for what you’re missing ?

well you’d be the living proof of that?
I’d never assume that something is beyond a women’s reach, specially yours.

I don’t know you at all, but I do know a little about the person who writes this blog, for want of a better term, you. Although, you never refer to yourself as an artist, you are, and very good too, extremely meticulous and discerning in the persona you choose to present.

Right now, however, that persona is solidly “girl” based. I really don’t have to spell it out. That’s hardly pejorative, btw. So you’re a hot young girl; there are worse fates. Still, your deep sources of true beauty lie virtually untapped. You lack discipline. Your energies are too scattered, and the digestion of your own emotional history is still giving you a stomach-ache. But once you shit out your lack of self-belief, and realize that you do, in fact, deserve it…well, I’m singing “I am woman, hear me roar” right now.
